Buying and replacement notes
This size is a watch staple, so nearly all retail demand goes to the silver-oxide 371 rather than the alkaline AG6. If your watch came back from a cheap battery swap and died within the year, check whether an AG6 was fitted; a proper 371 typically runs two to three years. The alkaline version remains acceptable for toys and gadgets where accuracy and leak risk do not matter.
